International conference IPG in Prague
The law office Kříž and Bělina was assigned with the task to organise a conference of the International Practice Group, which took place from 6th to 9th October 2011 in Prague and for the first time ever in a new member state of the EU.
Up to 120 lawyers and tax advisors from the most important firms from forty countries of the world met in the hotel Intercontinental.
Friedhelm Gruber from Liechtenstein, president of the IPG association, specified the contents of the meeting: "Thanks to its supranational character, our association provides to clients services reaching beyond national borders. It responds thus to globalisation processes in the society, which in our particular case concern especially convergence of legal regulations in Europe“.
Member firms meet at conferences held twice a year. The purpose of the meetings is to discuss issues common to all members, to extend the membership base and to develop the IPG. In today’s electronic era, a very strong reason for the meeting is to provide an opportunity for personal meeting of individual members. Prague and the organisers AKKB provided an adequate atmosphere for this conference, which the conference participants were very satisfied with and which they assessed as one of the most successful ever.
