(b. 1950, in Prague) graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague. He is a founder and member partner of the Kříž & Bělina law firm. An attorney-at law since 1991, he specialises in labour law and commercial law. He has contributed greatly to a number of high-profile privatisations, mergers and acquisitions and to the sales of equity interests and businesses in which Kříž & Bělina has been engaged.
Membership
He is a member of the Legislative Council of the Czech Government, the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Law of Charles University, the Chairman of the Czech Society for Labour and Social Security Law, a member of the committee of the International Society for Labour and Social Security Law and an arbitrator of the Arbitration Court attached to the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic. He has written or co-written many publications on Labour and Social Security Law.
Orientation
In addition to his practice as an attorney-at-law, he also heads the Department of Labour Law and Social Security Law of the Faculty of Law at Charles University and has long-standing practical experience in the legal department of the Social Security Authority. Professor Bělina has completed a post-graduate course at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
